Third Coast Baroque, "Chicago's most accomplished period instrumentalists and singers" (Chicago Tribune), is seeking a Production Manager for the Chicago premiere of Handel’s “Triumph of Time and Disenchantment” in April 2019. The Production Manager will be an essential member of the TCB team during planning, rehearsals, performances, and post-production.
The Production Manager’s primary responsibilities will be ensuring that rehearsals and performances run smoothly and effectively including: overseeing all technical and stage management arrangements; managing and distributing rehearsal schedules among staff and musicians; ensuring rehearsals run according to schedule, including managing break times; acting as a liaison between artistic director and musicians to communicate scheduling changes and other needs; managing set up and strike during rehearsals and performances; coordinating with venue staff during rehearsals and performances, and serving as primary contact with venue staff.
The Production Manager is a contract position with most duties occurring between April 1 and April 14. Rehearsals take place April 7 - 11 at Trinity Methodist Church (Wilmette) with a final dress rehearsal at First UMC at Chicago Temple (Chicago). Performances take place April 12 at First UMC and April 13 at Galvin Recital Hall (Evanston). The Production Manager may be required to participate in additional planning or post-production meetings before April 1 or after April 14 as agreed upon.
